<p>Cao Cao was born in July 18, 155. He was born into the Xiahou family, but retained the Cao name, as his father was adopted by the Cao family. With the guidance of his own ambitions, he excelled in both war and politics, and was once considered to be one of the heroes of the land. After convincing the emperor to come to Xuchang under his control and the defeat of his former childhood friend, Yuan Shao, the Han Dynasty had come to an end, as he successfully established the kingdom of Wei, where he acted as chancellor. Despite his intelligence and ambitiousness, his overfidence has led him to a few scrapes in battle. He eventually died in 220 due to a stroke.</p>

<h2>Battle of Hulao Gate</h2>
<p>Cao Cao and his army, along with others, were part of the Anti-Dong Zhuo Coalition led by Yuan Shao, to defeat the tyrannical Dong Zhuo. He and the other two armies were formed a three-pronged attack against Hulao Gate.</p>
<h2>Battle of Guan Du</h2>
<p>(In order to expand his territories, Cao Cao had put aside his childhood memories with Yuan Shao and face him. Due to Yuan Shao's arrogance, Cao Cao was able to claim victory by raiding a supply base called Wu Chao, and having his army slay and covert his best general.</p>
<h2>Battle of Chibi</h2>
<p>Cao Cao's navy faced off against Shu and Wu in the seas of this landmark. Due to enemy odds and a strategically planned fire attack from Wu, his navy suffered a crippling defeat. As a result, Cao Cao narrowly escaped Chibi with his life, and the help of his loyal officers.</p>
<h2>Battle of Xiapi</h2>
<p>With a request from Liu Bei, Cao Cao helped lead an attack against the mighty Lu Bu. Cao Cao used a flood attack to draw out Lu Bu, where he was captured by his own men, and then executed by Cao Cao himself.</p>

<p>Xiahou Dun was a cousin of Cao Cao and a general of the Wei army. While he was a short-tempered man in youth, he grew into a lawful bureaucrat and loyal general of his cousin. Throughout his years, he has earned his way through promotions, such as being the governor of Chenliu and Jinyin. He was later considered to be a valuable aide to Cao Cao, even being granted to ride in the same carriage as him, and visit his living quarters. He died on June 13, 220, three months after the death of Cao Cao. His nephew, Xiahou Ba, went on to serve the future kingdom, Jin.</p>

<h2>Battle of Xiapi</h2>
<p>As a participant of this battle, he is famously known for being struck in the eye by a stray arrow. He then proceeded to pull out the arrow and eat the eyeball.</p>
<h2>Battle of Puyang</h2>
<p>While Cao Cao went on a campaign after Tao Qian, Xiahou Dun led the defense at Puyang against Lu Bu and the traitorous Zhang Miao. With the help of a small army, he was able to rescue some of Cao Cao's family, and drive off the invaders for a short time.</p>
<h2>Battle of Hanzhong</h2>
<p>During this battle, Xiahou Dun and the others got lost in the fog and ended up in the enemy camp, causing the enemy to surrender, as they mistook it for an ambush.</p>

<p>Sima Yi was born in 179. He impressed Cao Cao with his intellect, and was recruited into the Cao family, even ending up becoming friends with Cao Cao's son, Cao Pi. He eventually became Prime Minister of Wei during the reign of Cao Fang. He continued to serve the family until Cao Shuang, where he, his wife, Zhang Chunhua, and their sons took part in a rebellion that caused Cao Shuang to step down. He eventually took ill and let Sima Shi take over. He died in 251, and his grandson, Sima Yan, succeeded him, and established the kingdom of Jin. There is a myth about him that he could rotate his head like an owl.</p>

<h2>Battle of Hanzhong</h2>
<p>This battle is where Sima Yi first demonstrated his strategies to Wei. His strategies were a success, causing Cao Cao to take interest in him.</p>
<h2>Battle of Wuzhang Plains</h2>
<p>Sima Yi commanded this large battle against Shu prime minister, Zhuge Liang. He sees a shooting star as a sign of his rival's final moments.</p>
<h2>Battle of Jieting</h2>
<p>Due to the arrogance of Ma Su, Sima Yi was able to successfully command an ambush on him on the mountain. It's also where he meets Zhuge Liang and sees him as a threat.</p>
<h2>Usurping Cao Shuang</h2>
<p>Sima Yi had plotted in secret with his followers and staged a rebellion against Cao Shuang, where he had gained control over Wei.</p>

<p>Zhang Liao was born in 169. With a history of serving unworthy masters, he started out as a general for Dong Zhuo. After Dong Zhuo's death, he followed Lu Bu in Xiapi, where Lu Bu was executed by Cao Cao and Zhang Liao was spared and was made a general of Wei. He had accomplished plenty of feats during his service, including capturing the mighty Guan Yu at Xiapi. He died on 222, due to a wound from an arrow, during the Battle of Dongkou.</p>

<p>Sun Jian was born in 155. He was a well-renowned strategist and the first emperor of Wu. He was also known for subjugating pirates and bandits in his youth, and had earned the nickname of the Tiger of Jiandong. He was blessed with many children: including Ce, Quan, and Shangxiang. He had fought through many battles, only to have his life cut short in 191. by an arrow from a subordinate of Huang Zu. He was succeeded by his son, Sun Ce. He was said to be a descendant of the legendary Sun Tzu, and in 229, he was memorialized as "Martially Great Emperor".</p>

<h2>Yellow Turban Rebellion</h2>
<p>As a participant of this battle against the Yellow Turbans, Sun Jian managed to liberate the city of Wancheng from rebels, even managing to slay more than twenty rebels himself. Afterwards, he was made the commander of Changsha.</p>
<h2>Battle of Sishui Gate</h2>
<p>Despite having his supplies cut off by Yuan Shu to ensure no betryal, Sun Jian manages to kill Dong Zhuo's commander, Hua Xiong.</p>
<h2>Battle of Xiangyang</h2>
<p>In the battle against Liu Biao, Sun Jian was fatally wounded by an arrow in an ambush. He was forced to retreat and his son, Sun Ce, took command in the battle.</p>

<p>Sun Quan was born in 182. He is Sun Jian's second son, and is the successor to his older brother, Sun Ce, after he was killed by followers of Xu Gong. After overcoming his grief, he managed to become the new leader of Wu. As the new leader, he managed to accomplish many strides for Wu, including stablizing the southeastern territories, and even killing Liu Biao, avenging his father's death. After these events, he eventually was named the emperor of Wu. He was married to Lianshi, and was known to be fond of hunting in his adulthood. He died in 252.</p>

<p>Sun Quan's first battle after succeeding his brother. Despite of his doubts, with the support of his wife and his subordinate, Zhou Yu, he manages to sieze victory.</p>

<p>With the assistance of Shu and strategies of Zhou Yu, he manages to outnumber the Wei army, and seize a great victory.</p>
<h2>Battle of Jiangxia</h2>
<p>Sun Quan led this campaign against Liu Biao, the man whose army is responsible for his father's death, and succeeded in avenging him.</p>

<p>Sun Shangxiang was one the daughters of Sun Jian. A tomboy, she learned martial arts and archery at a young age, and yearned to prove her worth on the battle field. In 209, in order to strengthen relationships between Wu and Shu, her brother, Sun Quan, married her to Liu Bei once he became the ruler of Jing. Unfortunately, after Liu Bei conquered Yi Province, he broke off relations with her, and she returned to her homeland on her own accord.</p>

<p>Lu Xun was born in 183. He is the son of Lu Meng, and he became a well-renowned strategist of Wu, despite his age. When his father succumbed to illness, Xun would be called upon to temporarily take over his office, until his father's eventual death, where he's granted the position of grand commander of the Wu army. He was well known for planning out and executing brilliant strategies, such as sending out fake, flattering letters and sorting out fire attacks, though we would often go on the defensive, which some of the soldiers disdained. He eventually died on 245.</p>

<p>One of his major battles, Lu Xun was able to strategically distract Guan Yu's army, as his father was able to sneak past his defenses and reclaim the central portion of Jiangzhou.</p>
<h2>Battle of Yiling</h2>
<p>Lu Xun plans out a fire attack against Shu, where he launches a barrage of fire arrows, driving away the enemy forces.</p>

<p>Liu Bei was born in 161. He is the leader of the Shu army. At age 28, he makes an oath with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei in the peach garden, and the three of them become sworn brothers. He dreamed of uniting the land under benevolence, but with the battles he's been forced to fight, he's often questioned his beliefs. Unfortunately, he would often let his emotions get to best of him, such as blindly sending troops into Wu territory after his brothers were slain. He was married to Sun Shangxiang, but he eventually broke off the relationship after becoming king of Hanzhong. He died of illness in June 10, 223.</p>

<h2>Battle of Yellow Turban Rebellion</h2>
<p>The first battle he did after he swore the oath in the peach garden. These three works together to fight off the Yellow Turbans, and strike down the commander, Cheng Yuanzhi.</p>
<h2>Battle of Cheng Du</h2>
<p>To help build Shu's foundations, Liu Bei tries to take the land of Cheng Du, where he starts to question his beliefs. He ends up losing his officer, Pang Tong, and making Liu Zhang surrenders the land to Liu Bei.</p>
<h2>Battle of Yiling</h2>
<p>Enraged by the deaths of his sworn brothers, Liu Bei blindly charges his men into Yiling to attack Wu, against his advisors' will. Unfortunately, he succumbs to the fire attack by Lu Xun, causing him to narrowly retreat.</p>

<p>Guan Yu was born at an unknown date. He is the sworn brother of Liu Bei and Zhang Fei. His amazing talents had garnered him a valuable of both Shu and Wei, where he temporarily served the latter after being captured in the battle of Xu Province, as Cao Cao admired his strength. Unfortunately, he was somewhat arrogant, as he refused to follow a deal with Wu to give them Jing. This ended with him being killed in 219 during the battle of Fan Castle, along with his son, Ping. As a sign of respect for Guan Yu, Cao Cao decided to have a proper burial for him. Guan Yu was often romanticized as a god and was known for his beautiful beard.</p>

<p>In this battle, Wei had sent some of his forces to drive away Shu. Guan Yu wound up being captured by Cao Cao amidst the confusion of his brother's defeat.</p>
<h2>Battle of Guan Du</h2>
<p>In Cao Cao's service, Guan Yu participated in this battle, successfully striking down the general, Yan Liang. However, when he saw his brother, Liu Bei, fighting alongside Yuan Shao, he was given permission from Cao Cao to leave the battlefield.</p>
<h2>Battle of Fan Castle</h2>
<p>Guan Yu's final battle. Even after managing launch a flood attack, him and his army were struck down by Wu, who had secretly allied with Wei.</p>

<p>Zhao Yun was born in 168. He was originally a wandering soldier, looking for a worthy master. He originally served Gongsun Zan, but after encountering Liu Bei, he became a cavalry commander for him, then eventually becoming one of his subordinates after being recognized by him Throughout the years, Zhao Yun proved his mettle in many battle, and even helped rescue Liu Bei's wife and son in Jingzhou. In 224, he was promoted to the General who Guards the East, though he eventually had himself demoted after losing the battle of Tianshui. He passed away in 229, and is succeeded by his son, Zhao Tong.</p>

<p>It is said that Zhao Yun was ambushed by Cao Cao's army while investigating the food supply. He managed to fight through the ambush, and return to the base. This garnered praise from Liu Bei.</p>
<h2>Battle of Jingzhou</h2>
<p>When Cao Cao was marching through Jingzhou, Zhao Yun volunteered to return and rescue Liu Bei's wife and son, who were left behind at their home. He was promoted to General of the Standard afterwards.</p>

<p>Zhuge Liang was born in 181. He was raised primarily by his uncle, and eventually became a hermit. He was also known as "The Sleeping Dragon". After Liu Bei paid three visits to him, he promised to work with him as his strategist. He was the one who came up with the strategy to have the land divided into three kingdoms. His intelligence and calculating personality made him seen as a threat to the other kingdoms. He was eventually made the Prime Minister of Shu. At Liu Bei's, Zhuge Liang was told carry on the ambition of ruling the land, and to depose his son, Liu Shan, should he prove to be an inept leader. He eventually passed away in 234.</p>

<h2>Battle of Chibi</h2>
<p>Zhuge Liang collaborated with Wu's Zhou Yu, to come up with a plan to weaken Cao Cao's navy with the winds and a fire attack, ending up in success.</p>
<h2>Battle of Nanzhong</h2>
<p>In order to prevent any attacks from the South, Zhuge Liang planned a campaign to capture and release Meng Huo, the king of the Nanman tribe, in order to get them on their side.</p>
<h2>Battle of Wuzhang Plains</h2>
<p>Zhuge Liangs final battle against Wei. As he slowly succumbed to illness, he told Shu to keep his death a secret, in order to trick Sima Yi into thinking he was still alive.</p>

<h2>Battle of Xiapi</h2>
<p>Zhang Liao participated in this battle along with Lu Bu, only to be captured along with him. This is where he had joined Cao Cao.</p>
<h2>Battle of He Fei</h2>
<p>Zhang Liao plays a role as Wu attacks his post, and in an act of bravery, he manages to stall the enemy army long enough for Cao Cao's reinforcements to arrive, giving him a name as a fearsome warrior.</p>
