FUTURA
In 1927, German typographer Paul Renner designed the geometric sans serif typeface Futura. It was inspired by the Bauhaus art movement during the early 20th century in Germany. The Bauhaus art movement prioritized modernity and simplified forms. Although aesthetics were still crucial, functionality and rationality were considered more important than the beauty of a design. Futura was based upon geoemetric shapes with circles, triangles, and squares. Each stroke is thin and just about even to each other.

Futura also can be found in condensed, demibold, and black versions. It was developed by the Bauer Type Foundry, deeming it as "the typeface of today and tomorrow". The lowercase letters have tall ascenders that rise above the cap line, using circular forms for the insides of letters such as "a" and "g". Meanwhile, the uppercase letters' proportions share similarities to Roman capitals'. Futura is a popular typeface and can be found in companies' logos, including Avon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, and Crayola.
